A Holistic Shift in Care: What You Need to Know About Our Evolving Approach at Tindal Prosthodontics
At Tindal Prosthodontics, patient care has always been at the heart of what we do. Over time, our team has continued to grow—not just in skills and experience, but also in perspective. Today, we’d like to share something that’s been quietly evolving within our practice: a more holistic approach to oral health.
This shift reflects not only the latest in dental research and patient feedback, but also the personal beliefs and philosophies of our team. As healthcare providers, we believe it’s essential to align our recommendations with both science and sensitivity—respecting the body as a whole, not just treating teeth in isolation.

Why Holistic Dentistry?
Holistic dentistry—sometimes called biological or integrative dentistry—takes into account the interconnectedness of oral health and overall wellness. It emphasizes prevention, minimally invasive treatments, and a thoughtful look at what we put into and onto our bodies.
We’ve always believed that dentistry is about more than just smiles—it’s about supporting total well-being. That’s why we’re re-evaluating certain materials, substances, and practices to ensure they align with a more natural, mindful philosophy.
Our Evolving View on Fluoride
One change that some of our patients may have already noticed is our choice to not actively recommend fluoride treatments in-office. This decision wasn’t made lightly—it’s the result of years of discussion, research, and personal conviction.
While fluoride has long been praised in conventional dentistry for its cavity-fighting properties, we also recognize that not every patient feels comfortable with its use. Our goal is not to tell our patients what to do, but to support them in making informed choices about their care. We remain committed to offering guidance that aligns with both your health goals and our evolving understanding of oral-systemic wellness.
That being said, we still prioritize strong preventive care—focusing on diet, pH balance, remineralization support, and home care habits that protect enamel naturally.
“We believe the mouth is a gateway to the body, and what we do in dentistry should support total health—not just fix problems. Our shift toward a more holistic approach comes from a place of care and a desire to do what’s best for each individual patient.” — Dr. Ben Tindal
What This Means for You
As we embrace a more holistic model, you may notice small but intentional changes in how we treat and talk about oral health. Some examples include:
Exploring biocompatible materials for restorations
Encouraging natural remineralizing strategies
Placing greater emphasis on inflammation reduction and overall immune health
Customizing care based on each individual’s health history, preferences, and concerns
We’re Still… Us.
This isn’t a dramatic departure from who we’ve always been. You’ll still find the same clinical excellence, advanced technology, and compassionate care that you’ve come to expect at Tindal Prosthodontics. But we’re always growing, and we want you to grow with us.
If you have questions about our evolving approach or want to talk more about what holistic dentistry might look like for you, we welcome the conversation.
Thank you for trusting us—not just with your teeth, but with your whole health journey.
With care,Dr. Ben Tindal and the Tindal Prosthodontics Team
